Bills star WR leaves practice with injury

The Buffalo Bills have been bit hard by the injury bug, and another wide receiver has now gone down.

The Buffalo Bills are set to embark on another quest they hope ends in a Super Bowl parade taking place in Western New York, and they have all of the major stars on their roster locked up to do so.

However, the Bills have been bitten hard by the injury bug through the first week of training camp. More than 10 players have missed practice or been dealing with something. That list includes:

  • OT Spencer Brown
  • WR Tyrell Shavers
  • WR Curtis Samuel
  • WR Elijah Moore
  • TE Dalton Kincaid
  • LB Terrel Bernard
  • WR Kaden Prather
  • C Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
  • TE Dawson Knox
  • K Tyler Bass

Now, a fifth wide receiver can be added to that list.

"Bills WR Khalil Shakir is leaving the field with athletic trainers after being rolled up during a run play," Ajay Cybulski reports. "Something to monitor."

Shakir was the Bills' leading receiver in 2024, catching 76 passes for 821 yards and four touchdowns last season. The Boise State product was given a four-year extension this past offseason and is vital to the success of the Bills.
