Ferguson is showcasing his skills at Loyola Marymount University in front of Rams fans. The Rams traded down in the 2025 NFL Draft to nab the Ducks star during the second round. Now he's partaking in his first NFL Training Camp.

"I feel like I have some movements like Travis Kelce and that’s one of the best ever," Ferguson began. "I definitely model my game and watch a lot of his tape just because he’s so special at the top of his route and after the catch and I feel like I have similar movement patterns as him."

The Rams clearly took Ferguson in the 2025 NFL Draft with the vision he'd open this vaunted offense up further. Plus hand Sean McVay a long awaited downfield threat -- plus eventual successor for longtime TE1 Tyler Higbee.

Ferguson shattered TE records in Eugene. Including career receptions (134) and touchdowns (16). "Productive pass catcher" were the first three words in his scouting report by Lance Zierlein of the NFL Network.

The new TE option, however, doesn't just scrutinize Kelce.

"There’s other guys like Mark Andrews and George Kittle that are workhorses," he pointed out. "You can learn something from a wide receiver out here on a release. You can learn from everybody, so I try to pick a little bit of everything but I would say definitely Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews.”

Sounds like Ferguson is also observing Davante Adams and Puka Nacua when it comes to releases and route running.

Ferguson additionally comes with a build identical to the three-time Super Bowl winner Kelce (6-foot-5, 250-pounds). McVay and L.A. will hope the rookie TE brings similar run-after-catch ability that made Kelce a renown downfield threat.
