Meet the starting 5 of WTGL.
It's been two weeks since WTGL was announced and the league is moving fast. Here's what we know.
The inaugural season will kick off in the winter of 2026-27, and the first leg of LPGA stars are already confirmed. Announced earlier today by TGL, we can expect to see Charley Hull, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson and world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul.

"WTGL will be a global stage to showcase LPGA Tour stars, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best," said Mike McCarley, founder and CEO, TMRW Sports about the news. "These players will thrive in WTGL’s competitive environment as fans will witness their skill and connect more deeply with their personalities through the unprecedented access the league delivers with every player mic’d in the modern match play team format."
This is a solid starting five, and it's huge that they got one of the most popular and beloved players on Tour right now in Charley Hull.
But notably, top American player and world No. 2 Nelly Korda is missing from the bunch. It's unclear as of right now when or if Korda will join. Getting her signed on as well will be a huge addition to the league.
