As steep as the Bengals felt Trey Hendrickson's asking price was to remain in Cincinnati, the organization appears to feel just as strongly about what it'll take to let him go.
After the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported yesterday that the franchise was listening to trade offers for the first-team All-Pro, it seems the parameters of of such a deal have now come to light.
Per the NFL Media insider, "With contract talks at an impasse, the Bengals are listening to trade offers for perennial Pro Bowler Trey Hendrickson, per me & [Tom Pelissero]."
Adding, "It's unclear if the NFL sack leader will be playing elsewhere in 2025, and a trade will be a real challenge. But time will tell."
Hendrickson has made it clear that he'd like to be compensated like the other top pass rushers in the league as he enters the final year of his deal worth roughly $16 million in 2025.
However with so much money tied up on Joe Burrow's side of the ball, Cincinnati already gave Hendrickson the green light to go out and find a trade over the offseason.
And with negotiations remaining at a standstill, the Bengals are now reportedly laying out what they'd like in return in a potential move involving the four-time Pro Bowler.
Cincinnati's asking price leaks
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, several NFL teams have already inquired about what it would take to land Henderson in their colors and this is what they learned:
"Teams that have recently inquired about Bengals star Trey Hendrickson were told Cincinnati's asking price included a young defensive player and a 2026 first-round pick, according to league sources," the veteran reporter shared Monday.
Clarifying, "The player heading back does not have to be a pass rusher."

Clearly the Bengals want a lot back for one of the most productive players on their roster. But will it be more trouble trying to find a trade partner than it would've been to sign him to an extension?
