The biggest headline thus far during the NBA offseason has been the ongoing saga between the Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga.

Of course, Kuminga is currently a restricted free agent and has reportedly turned down Golden State’s contract offer.

This comes after Kuminga fell out of Steve Kerr’s rotation last season after the Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline and many around the league expect the young forward to be on the move this summer.

Despite this, there has not been a ton of interest in Kuminga  from other teams around the NBA, though the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns have reportedly both offered him a contract in free agency as well as made an offer to the Warriors to acquire him via a sign-and-trade.

Golden State has turned down both trade offers as they want to keep Kuminga on their roster next season.

Warriors receive major Jonathan Kuminga report

On Thursday, ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel released a massive report regarding the ongoing situation between the Warriors and Kuminga.

According to Siegel, Kuminga has no interest in returning to Golden State next season and is not budging on his stance.

“Kuminga is not budging and continues to passively let it be known he does not wish to return to the Warriors. If he is to be back with Golden State, nobody expects it to be a long-term marriage, and Kuminga will make sure it's on his terms,” Siegel wrote.

This is a major report by Siegel and one that does not bode too well for the Warriors as it appears Kuminga’s time in Golden State is quickly coming to an end.

For the Warriors, this is terrible news for them as teams around the league now know Kuminga’s true stance in free agency, which ties the hands of Golden State in a potential sign-and-trade.

Of course, the Warriors have had a high asking price for their young forward but with this report, they may be forced to take a much smaller trade package for Kuminga.

Golden State could also hold onto to Kuminga if he ends up signing a contract with them this summer, but expect them to try and move him next season before the trade deadline as it appears the young forward is no longer interested in playing with the Warriors.
