Class act from Indiana!
Indiana Fever Praised for What They Did for Injured Players Before Dallas Wings Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever are currently missing three key players, with Caitlin Clark sidelined due to a groin issue, Sydney Colson out with a left ACL tear and Aari McDonald dealing with a broken bone in her right foot.
While Clark is expected to return at some point this season, that's not the case for Colson and McDonald, who have already been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign. The Fever have since signed veteran guard Odyssey Sims to a hardship contract to address their backcourt needs.
Fever Make Move for Injured Players
Ahead of the Fever's game against the Dallas Wings on Tuesday, the team initiated a sweet gesture for both Colson and McDonald to show them support amid their recovery.
The Fever apparently set up a table at Gainbridge Fieldhouse where fans could write on custom cards and send their well-wishes to the two players.
"Get well soon Syd and Aari," the Fever wrote. "On your way into tonight’s game, stop by section 14 to send well wishes to Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald!"

Fans absolutely loved the initiative and took to the reply section to heap praise on the team.
"Thats cool," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Love it."
"Great gesture, I wish them both a very blessed day and a speedy recovery. Sending love from Scotland," a fan added.
"This is so nice. Prayers up," a fourth supporter shared.
A follower also suggested, "Would love to send a digital one too."
"Love this gesture," a social media user remarked.
Will the Fever Add Another Player?
The sweet move aside, though, the Fever are currently facing a decision when it comes to their roster. With Colson and McDonald out for the season and Clark reportedly still weeks away from returning, they will have to decide whether or not to sign a new player.
As reported previously, the Fever can sign two players to a hardship contract. They already used the basic hardship exception on Sims, so they can bring in one more.
If they do sign another hardship player, however, they would need to waive one of the two once Clark returns.
