Fans of the Boston Celtics will be happy to hear that the NBA has released a half-dozen dates of the coming 2025-26 NBA regular season schedule for the team to tide us over a bit in the depths of the summer doldrums. In the midst of a retooling season in the wake of the Achilles tendon injury to star forward Jayson Tatum, the team is understandably looking at a bit of a downgrade in terms of scheduling this season.
And while the Celtics may not be one of the ball clubs that will take to the court on one of the league's two marquee dates (Opening Night and Christmas Day) for the first time in more than a decade, Boston did manage to secure one of the other major dates in the NBA calendar. That contest falls on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in January, a date the Celtics have played on for six seasons in a row.
Let's take a closer look at the six games we do know the dates and opponents for so far.

October 31 - at Philadelphia 76ers (NBA Cup game) - 7 pm ET
November 7 - at Orlando Magic (NBA Cup game) - 7 pm ET
November 21 - vs. Brooklyn Nets (NBA Cup game) - 7:30 pm ET
November 26 - vs. Detroit Pistons (NBA Cup game) - 5 pm ET
