Oregon 2027 Recruiting Snapshot: Wide Reciever

Ross Douglas and Oregon already have one wide receiver committed in the 2027 cycle in 4-star Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy pass catcher Kesean Bowman. Bowman gave an early commitment to Oregon over the in-state Vols last month. Douglas has the Ducks in the mix for a slew of other wideouts in his first full recruiting cycle on Dan Lanning‘s staff and ScoopDuck takes an updated look at the board.

4-star Damani Warren (Las Vegas, NV)

The West Coast has always served as Oregon’s bread and butter and Warren is one of the very best out West. He took multiple trips to Eugene in the spring and plans to return for a game in the fall. Originally from Southern California, it feels like an Oregon vs. USC battle early in this national recruitment.

4-star Quentin Hale (Los Angeles, CA)

Hale’s gradually become a high-profile recruit after exploding on the national scene this offseason. He’s widely viewed as one of the top receivers in Southern California and Oregon got in the mix with an offer this spring. USC probably has a comfortable lead for Hale, who was always rocking Trojans gear when I saw him this offseason. Unless he makes an early commitment, another trip to Eugene could help the Ducks chip away at USC’s lead.

5-star Jamier Brown (Wayne, OH)

Brown is Rivals’ No. 1 wide receiver in the 2027 class. Although he committed to Ohio State in November, Douglas extended an offer in the spring. Flipping wide receivers from the Buckeyes is difficult, but not impossible. I’d imagine Douglas being from Ohio only helps Oregon here.

4-star Monshun Sales (Indianapolis, IN)

Sales was on campus in Eugene to see Oregon when the Ducks held camp earlier this summer. The 6-foot-5 route runner is among the very best in the nation, but the Ducks haven’t been mentioned too prominently in his recruitment. There’s probably ground to make up with schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Indiana and Notre Dame set to receive visits from him this season.

4-star Dakota Guerrant (Harper Woods, MI)

Guerrant has taken multiple trips to Oregon already and I feel fairly comfortable saying the Ducks will have a hat on the table when he shifts into decision mode. Michigan has been linked to him quite a bit lately but I like where the Ducks stand heading into the season. Guerrant will have his pick of wherever he wants to play his college football.

4-star Julian Caldwell (Argyle, TX)

The Lone Star State standout is Rival’s No. 13 receiver and the Ducks have done a great job in his recruitment. He’ll take his fourth trip to Oregon when the Ducks face Oregon State in September. Oregon and Texas have put themselves in the best position in his recruitment.

4-star Trenton Yancey (Duncanville, TX)

Much like California, Texas has been integral to Oregon’s recruiting success. The addition ofRa’Shaad Samples to the staff followingCarlos Locklyn‘s departure only strengthened the Ducks’ ties in Texas, specifically to Duncanville. The staff is hoping Dakorien Moore was just the start of the Duncanville pipeline and Yancey loves everything about the Ducks. He plans to return to Eugene for a game this fall, but there will be no shortage of in-state competition for his services.

4-star Lawrence Britt (Memphis, TN)

Britt was offered by the Ducks in May, so things are still pretty early as far as relationships go. But he has plans to check out a ton of schools this fall and that will include Oregon when the Ducks face Indiana on October 11. He visited Nebraska this summer and recently added offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia and Alabama. Douglas may have some ground to make up but he could have some help on his side with Bowman as a committed prospect in Tennessee.
