Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback Cam Miller had an impressive debut on Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks and nearly pulled off a comeback win.

If you hadn't heard of Cam Miller before Thursday night, you definitely know who he is now.
The Las Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback and sixth-round pick made quite the first impression in the preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks, completing 6-of-7 passes for 76 yards and one touchdown while also adding one carry for four yards.
Miller's most impressive play of the game came when he dropped a bomb into the waiting arms of wide receiver Shedrick Jackson for a 41-yard touchdown that gave Las Vegas some much-needed life and brought the team to within a field goal.
The touchdown came on Miller's very first NFL drive, by the way, and the pump fake before he uncorked the pass was beautiful.

Miller's second drive wasn't as flashy, but he was able to help the Raiders get into field goal range to even the score at 23.
Miller then had an opportunity to win the game late and nearly got it done before Daniel Carlson's kick was blocked to end the contest in a tie.
While much of the attention will be on Miller's deep ball to Jackson, we can't forget his rollout and accurate throw on a 20-yard pass that gave the Raiders a shot to win the game on the final drive.
We get it, it's just the preseason and Miller was squaring off against guys who won't even make the Seahawks' roster, but it's hard not to be impressed with how poised Miller looked in his first NFL action.
It's starting to become easy to see why Raiders minority owner Tom Brady was "on board" with the selection of Miller.
We'll see if he can continue to make headway toward earning a roster spot and, who knows, maybe he can challenge Aidan O'Connell for the backup job behind Geno Smith, also.
