The Las Vegas Raiders made sweeping changes in leadership this offseason with Geno Smith brought in to lead the offense on the field from his quarterback position and Tom Brady now aboard as minority owner.
Brady and the rest of the ownership group hired former Seahawks boss Pete Carroll to coach the team, a move that brought experienced leadership with a Super Bowl pedigree to the forefront of the team's on-field activities.
On Monday, Smith spoke about his relationship with Brady and how it has impacted him going into the 2025-26 season in Las Vegas.
"Obviously you played against Tom Brady in the AFC West, now he's one of the owners here, he was here over the weekend, what's your experience been like with him as a part owner?" Smith was asked.
"Man, it's great to not have to compete against him anymore but also you know, I think just to have a guy like, to lean on like Tom, this is the best of the best, this is the best that it gets, so when he speaks, you listen," Smith said.
The former West Virginia star and Seahawks QB said he speaks with Brady every other day.

"He's done a great job with this organization, and so far he's really helping the quarterbacks, he's helping me, he's a mentor," Smith added.
"It's something we're grateful to have," Smith added in the interview.
