What Wilson Accomplished in Four Seasons at South Carolina
Wilson was a key member of the Gamecocks women’s basketball team led by longtime coach Dawn Staley from 2014-18. Wilson helped the team win their first national title in school history in 2017, where she was also named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
She led South Carolina to three SEC regular-season titles and four consecutive SEC Tournament championships. The school created a bronze statue of Wilson in 2021, which stands in front of Colonial Life Arena. She had her jersey retired by her former team on Feb. 2.
Wilson and the Aces face off against the Valkyries in a rematch Wednesday.
