Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's SHAI 001 Butter colorway to be available for sale on Sept. 4

Dangling over his collarbone like a pair of dice, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's NBA championship celebration was the perfect time to showcase his Converse SHAI 001 "Butter" colorway. The Oklahoma City Thunder captured the Larry O'Brien trophy thanks to the MVP winner's standout series.

Now, Gilgeous-Alexander's signature shoe will soon be available to Thunder fans. The Shai 001 Butter colorway will be available in a limited global release on Sept. 4, via select retail partners, Converse.com, and the Nike SNKRS App.

Retail partners across North America include KITH locations in Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles, as well as UNDEFEATED in Los Angeles.

Gilgeous-Alexander debuted his Converse signature shoe last season. He unveiled a new colorway after each playoff series win. Each color was named after a family member.

It continues to be a career year for Gilgeous-Alexander. He won about every NBA award imaginable this past season to complement his ring. From MVP to NBA Finals MVP. He also signed a handsome supermax extension this past summer and was named the NBA 2K26 cover athlete.

Gilgeous-Alexander's ascension into one of the NBA's best players has been years in the making. Now, the Summer of SGA has seen the rest of the sports world catch up to how special of a player he is.
