Saudi club Al-Shabab has moved decisively to strengthen its midfield, submitting an official bid to sign Senegal international Pathé Ciss, who is currently under contract with Rayo Vallecano (Spain).According to Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah, the Al-Shabab management has offered the 31-year-old a two-year deal, despite his current commitment to the Spanish club running until the summer of 2027.

Pathé Ciss’s journey before arriving in La Liga

Trained at Diambars FC, Pathé Ciss launched his professional career in 2017 in Senegal before making the leap to Europe with Portuguese side Nacional Madeira.He then went on a series of loan spells: first at Famalicão (Portugal), then at Fuenlabrada (Spain), before making a permanent move to Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2021 on a long-term contract.Last season, the Lions of Teranga midfielder featured in 35 matches across all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.According to the specialist website Transfermarkt, Pathé Ciss’s market value is estimated at 2 million euros.
