Jerry Jones makes it clear where he stands with Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it clear he is not worried about how things are going with star player Micah Parsons.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke out for the first time about Micah Parsons

since Parsons announced on social media that he demanded a trade.

Jones didn’t seem to be concerned about what Parsons had to say and gave a message to Cowboy fans who are upset about the situation.

“I would say to our fans, don't lose any sleep over this,” he said.

As anyone who follows the Cowboys knows, this is par for the course for Jones. He is a hard negotiator, but eventually, he normally signs his star players, just ask Dak Prescott and Cee Dee Lamb.

There were questions going into last season concerning Prescott’s contract. Some thought that Jones wouldn’t pay his salary demands, but eventually he did.

So Jones’ confidence is not unwarranted; it's just a matter of if he can get Parsons back to the negotiating table after his tirade against the team yesterday.

Parsons says he wants a trade, but a few days before that, he said he didn’t want to leave Dallas, and the team made itself clear they had no plans to trade him, despite the fact that he now says he wants out of Dallas.

But is Jones' negotiating tactic going to backfire on him? In his post, Parsons sounded like he was hurt and felt disrespected by the team because of the way Jones and his son Stephen talked about him.

It sounds like it’s going to take more than money to bring Parsons back around; it might take an apology, too, something Jones is not known for in his history.

It took him forever to even put former head coach Jimmy Johnson in the Cowboys' ring of honor after they fell out, so don’t expect Jones to do that for Parsons, but what you probably can expect is a huge payday for the All-Pro in the future.
