The Indiana Fever are off to a 14-12 start during the 2025 WNBA season. They are clinging to the sixth spot in the league standings, which places them firmly in the playoff picture with 18 games still left to play.

Star second-year guard Caitlin Clark has played in just 13 of the team's 26 games in 2025 due to various injuries, including both a quad strain and lingering groin issues. She has averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds in her appearances.

Three-time All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell and 2023 Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston have led the charge for the Fever in Clark's absence.

Boston recently started a podcast, "Post Moves," with WNBA legend Candace Parker. The two recently caught up after the All-Star break and broke down the Fever's recent games.

Parker asked Boston about the key differences for Indiana as they navigate playing with and without Clark, given her inconsistent presence due to injury this season. Boston shared a blunt response in how things are different.

"I think when you have Caitlin on the floor, everything is automatically spaced. The floor is spaced, defenses are high because she comes across half-court, you can set an early drag, and there's a deep three going up, and there's a great chance she's making it," Boston said. "When she's not on the floor, then obviously, (they) can shrink (the floor) a little bit."

Fever 8-5 with Caitlin Clark, 6-7 without her in the lineup

Indiana has played 13 games with Clark on the floor this season, and they have a winning record at 8-5. Without her playing, the team is below .500 with a record of 6-7. There is currently no timetable for Clark's return.

The Fever are back in action on Wednesday, as they host the Phoenix Mercury at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
