Paige Bueckers Makes WNBA History Against Brittney Griner, Atlanta Dream originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Paige Bueckers continues to have an incredible rookie season, even compared to the likes of Caitlin Clark, who had one of the best first-year seasons in WNBA history last year.
On Wednesday, Bueckers and the Dallas Wings had another brutal loss, falling to the Atlanta Dream, 88-85.
Despite the loss for one of the bottom-ranked teams in the WNBA, Bueckers etched her name in the WNBA history books.
According to ESPNW, Bueckers tied Cynthia Cooper for the fastest WNBA player in history to reach 400 points and 100 assists. Bueckers achieved the feat in 22 games with the Dallas Wings.
While Bueckers was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, the UConn Huskies standout may have exceeded expectations for the production she's had early in her WNBA career.
