The Football Writers Association of America released the watch lists for the 2025 Bronko Nagurski Trophy and 2025 Outland Trophy on Tuesday, July 29. Three Texas A&M Aggies were featured between the two lists for the highly coveted awards.
Will Lee III earns spot on Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List
Cornerback Will Lee III was the lone Aggie named to the 60-man 2025 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Preseason Watch List. He is one of 10 cornerbacks selected to the watch list. Lee III already secured a spot on the preseason ALL-SEC second team as one of the top cornerbacks in the country, let alone the conference.
It is likely the trophy stays within the SEC. South Carolina's Kyle Kennard won the award in 2024-25. However, Lee III doesn't have a great supporting cast on defense to be a top contender for the trophy despite his individual talents. He'll have to put up good numbers and continue Texas A&M's interception trend from last season.
The cornerback transferred from Kansas State to Texas A&M his junior season, starting all 12 regular season games and ranking fifth in pass break-ups in the SEC with 10. He also posted 42 tackles and two interceptions for 97 total yards. Lee III earned a spot on the 2024 All-SEC Second Team as well.
Ar'maj Reed-Adams and Trey Zuhn III earn spots on Outland Trophy Watch List
Right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams and left tackle Trey Zuhn III were two of 50 standout interior linemen named to the 2025 Outland Trophy Watch List. Reed-Adams is one of 15 guards and Zuhn III is one of 16 offensive tackles. Both are expected to be high draft picks, going in the first or second rounds, in 2026.
Reed-Adams enters the 2025-26 season as a preseason All-America selection. Pro Football Focus that gave the guard a stunning 85.9 run block grade on his performance last year. Zuhn III, who was a 2024 All-SEC Third Team selection, heads into his graduate season as a first-team All-SEC player by Phil Steele.
The left tackle started every game last season and a total of 882 offensive snaps, which was the highest on the team. Reed-Adams and Zuhn III allowed Texas A&M to post an average of 195.5 yards per game, the second best in the conference.
Former Aggie offensive tackle Luke Joeckel is the only player to the Outland Trophy from Texas A&M. Thirteen years later, Reed-Adams and Zuhn III have a chance to become the second while Lee III has an opportunity to be the first Aggie Bronko Nagurski Trophy winner.
