NFL Hall Of Fame pass rusher Dwight Freeney gave his list of Top 5 pass rushers going into the 2025 season and has Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons on his list.
Since entering the league as the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons has asserted himself as one of the most dominant defensive forces in the NFL.
Recording double digit sacks in each of his first four seasons, Parsons already has 52.5 sacks to his credit, and while his ongoing contract saga has been making headlines, he's getting plenty of respect from those that played before him.
Dwight Freeney, a member of the 2024 Pro Football Hall Of Fame class, who totaled 125.5 sacks in his career, recently spoke to Kay Adams about his Top-5 pass rushers coming into this season and included Parsons on his list, but at fourth out of five.

"Micah is going to be my fourth guy. He's a motor guy, he's a guy who's going to be relentless on the field, he's going to try to make every single play as a pass rusher. They put him in different places and that's the biggest thing about him, that's not easy as a pass rusher." (Dwight Freeney on Micah Parsons on Up & Adams)
While Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers came in as the fifth in Freeney's list, Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt, Detroit's Aidan Hutchinson, and Cleveland's Myles Garrett all got ranked above Parsons.
If Parsons and the Cowboys can get the contract situation settled before the start of the 2025 season, the star pass rusher could be motivated to not only prove himself worthy of the contract, but also establish himself as the top player at his position in the NFL.
