This LPGA winner will go by her nickname on leaderboards in 2026

Chisato Iwai will go by a different name in her second year on the LPGA.

Chisato Iwai will go by a different name in her second year on the LPGA. The rising Japanese star has officially changed her name to "Chizzy" on the LPGA website and Rolex Rankings.

Iwai and her sister Akie became the first twins to both win on the LPGA during their rookie season in 2025. Akie refers to her sister by her nickname "Chizzy" during interviews, and they use the No. 75 in branding as a nod to their July 5 birthdate.

Currently ranked 30th in the world, Chisato won the Mexico Riviera Maya Open last May for her first LPGA title. The 23-year-old is an eight-time winner on the JLPGA.

World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul made the switch from her given name, Atthaya, midway through the 2024 season.

"I think it's unique and easier than Atthaya," said Thitikul at the time of changing to her nickname.
