Derrick Harmon named Steelers Rookie of the Year

The Steelers rookie has had a tremendous year.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Derrick Harmon has been named the Joe Greene Great Performance Award winner. The award is given to the Steelers’ Rookie of the Year and is voted on by the PFWA Pittsburgh Chapter.

Harmon has had a terrific season, racking up 26 tackles and 20 run stops, per Next Gen Stats. Additionally, he has 14 pressures and two sacks. The Steelers’ run defense has been one of the best in the NFL over the final month of the season, and that is in no small part due to the contributions of No. 99.

The Steelers will close out their regular season in the final game of the 2025 campaign on Sunday Night Football when they host the Baltimore Ravens with the AFC North title on the line.
