Las Vegas Raiders roster: Get to know Brodic Martin

Defensive tackle claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh

Brodic Martin

The Las Vegas Raiders claimed defensive tackle Brodic Martin to their 53-man roster late last week.

Let’s take a closer look at Martin:

Size:

6-5, 330 pounds.

NFL experience:

The Detroit Lions drafted him in the third round in 2023. He played in five games with one start in two seasons for the Lions. He was cut by the Lions in August. He spent some time on Kansas City’s practice squad this year and he appeared in one game with the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. He has four career tackles.

How acquired:

The Raiders claimed him off waivers from the Steelers on Friday, a day after he was waived. The Raiders waived rookie defensive end Jahfari Harvey (who was promoted from the practice squad three days earlier) to make room for Martin.

College:

He was at North Alabama from 2017-2020 and Western Kentucky spanning 2021-22.

How he will fit in with Raiders:

Martin, 26, could get some looks in the final two games. He is a true nose tackle and could get some looks next year and be given a chance to stick around.
