The Buffalo Bills star wants a new contract, but head coach Sean McDermott says the Pro Bowl running back is ready to go for 2025.
The Buffalo Bills have officially begun training camp, and their 2025 season is underway as they begin their chase of a Super Bowl.
There have been questions on whether or not Pro Bowl running back James Cook would be in the building, considering he and the organization have been going back and forth on a potential contract extension - one that still hasn't gotten done. However, head coach Sean McDermott put any talks of a holdout to rest.
Speaking to the media to open camp, McDermott said that Cook has reported to training camp and is "ready to go."
Cook is coming off a year in which he rushed for a league-leading 16 touchdowns and made the Pro Bowl for the second straight year. He is one of the most important players on the Bills' roster, and having him be on board for 2025 is of the utmost importance.
