Jack Adair, Arrowhead boys hockey
The No. 1 goaltender for the Warhawks was strong between the pipes in three victories last week, stopping 104 of 109 total shots. Adair stoned 26-plus shots in all three games, including 38 of 39 shot attempts in a 3-1 win over Homestead on Dec. 16.
Elizabeth Bowers, Lakeshore Lightning girls hockey co-op
Bowers was a brick wall for the Lightning in a pair of shutout victories last week, stopping all 62 shot attempts she faced. The Cedarburg junior stopped 25 of 25 shots in a 2-0 win over Arrowhead on Dec. 17. Three days later, she kept Fond du Lac off the scoreboard in a 1-0 shutout by stopping all 37 shots she faced.
Demarion Epperson, Dr. Fuller Academy boys basketball
On Dec. 16 in a blowout win against Eastbrook Academy, Epperson dominated with 37 points, 13 rebounds and five steals. Later in the week, Epperson went for another double-double with 28 points, 15 rebounds and three assists at the Win Parkinson Invite against Carmen Northwest in a 78-75 victory.
Boden McGourthy, Marquette boys hockey
McGourthy tallied four points (two goals, two assists) in two wins for the Hilltoppers last week, including a pair of goals in a wild 8-7 overtime victory over the KMMO co-op on Dec. 20. The junior scored the overtime winner for the Hilltoppers on an assist from Ryan Cadieux 80 seconds into the extra period.
Dylan Romero, Brookfield Central girls basketball
During Brookfield Central's 68-53 victory over Milwaukee Golda Meir on Dec. 20 in a make-up contest from the BC Thanksgiving Shootout event, Romero joined the 1,000-point club for the Lancers. The Carthage College recruit has helped lead the Lancers to six wins in their first eight contests of the season.
