Bundesliga Team of the Week – Matchday 15

With the 15th matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a x-x-x formation:

Goalkeeper:

Mark Flekken, Bayer Leverkusen

Played a key role in Leverkusen’s 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig, making a total of saves.

Defenders:

Josip Stanisic, Bayern Munich 

Impressed in Bayern’s win over Heidenheim, contributing not just defensively, but also with a goal and a clever assist for Luis Diaz.

Nico Schlotterbeck, Borussia Dortmund

Put in a strong performance at the back, combining defensive solidity with precise passing. Won 11 of 13 duels and completed 90% of his passes.

Alexander Hanche-Olsen, Mainz 

Rock-solid performance from the centre-back, who was crucial to Mainz’s clean sheet with several key interventions. Won an impressive nine duels throughout the game.

Nathaniel Brown, Eintracht Frankfurt 

Very active on the left flank, Brown made two key passes, including the assist for Hugo Larsson’s goal. Came close to scoring himself and won five duels.

Midfielders:

Xaver Schlager, RB Leipzig 

Leipzig’s lone goalscorer against Bayer Leverkusen, Schlager worked tirelessly in midfield and produced two key passes

Michael Olise, FC Bayern  

Following reports that Michael Olise underwent minor eye surgery, there was uncertainty during the week about whether he would be fit to face Heidenheim. But the Frenchman started and looked as sharp as ever, scoring, completing 96% of his passes, and creating four key chances.

Patrick Wimmer, Wolfsburg

Very active in Wolfsburg’s 3-4 loss to Freiburg, assisting two of Dzenan Pejcinovic’s goals.

Martin Terrier, Bayer Leverkusen

Stepped up in the absence of several key players, scoring in Leverkusen’s 3-1 win over RB Leipzig. Also completed 94% of his passes and won four of six duels.

Strikers:

Dzenan Pejcinovic, Wolfsburg

Scored an impressive hat-trick against Freiburg, but Wolfsburg fell 3-4 at home despite his heroics. 

Harry Kane, FC Bayern 

Instrumental as ever for Bayern, Kane was heavily involved in their passing play and kept looking for scoring opportunities. After seeing a shot hit the post, he capped his performance with a late goal.
