It's August, which means the NBA has entered its slowest period of the calendar. These two months are when most teams head to vacation as they prepare for the 2025-26 regular season. Rosters are set, and very few offseason moves are left to be made.

The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to enjoy their NBA championship. They had one of the greatest years ever, as a 68-14 regular-season record translated to a Larry O'Brien trophy in the playoffs. But with training camp set to start in a little over a month, players have begun to get ready for their title reign.

The Thunder will enter the 2025-26 regular season sitting on the throne. That means the rest of the league will circle their matchups against the NBA champions as a way to see how they compare to the consensus title favorite as they bring back the same roster.

One player who's set to have a rotation role on the Thunder is Aaron Wiggins. The 26-year-old just had a career season. He averaged career-bests of 12 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He upped his outside volume to 4.5 3-pointers and shot at a respectable 38.3% clip.

Wiggins gave the deepest roster a scorer off the bench. He helped the bench lineups with his on-ball creation. Before last season, he never reached 30 points in a game. He did that three times just last year, which included a 41-point outburst.

If the Thunder want to repeat as champions, they'll need Wiggins to remain productive. He recently posted an offseason workout video on social media. He helped OKC in the playoffs with some timely buckets. Expect a similar role next season.
