🚨 BREAKING: Djed Spence pens long-term deal at Spurs

Tottenham have announced that defender Djed Spence has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

Although a statement from Spurs has not revealed how long the contract is for, reports suggest Spence will stay in at the club until 2030.

The 25-year-old full-back joined Spurs from Middlesbrough in 2022 and has steadily grown into his role, making 42 appearances in all competitions and scoring twice.

He enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2024/25, marking his Premier League debut in a 5–0 victory over Southampton before netting his first top-flight goal in a 4–1 win against Ipswich.

His form in February earned him a nomination for Premier League Player of the Month, highlighting his growing influence in the squad.

Spence also contributed to Tottenham’s Europa League triumph last season, cementing his place as a dependable option in the side. Prior to establishing himself in north London, he gained valuable experience with loan spells at Stade Rennais, Leeds United and Genoa, and has previously represented England at Under-21 level.

Tottenham’s decision to secure Spence’s future reflects both his progression and his potential to play a central role in the seasons ahead, as the club looks to build on European success and strengthen its domestic performances.
