WNBA team announces troubling news.
WNBA Team Announces Unfortunate Development Before Indiana Fever Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever have been preparing for the postseason while Caitlin Clark is on the bench.
Clark has been out for a month, yet the Fever have found success behind a deep team led by Aliyah Boston, Natasha Howard and Sophie Cunningham.
They defeated the Chicago Sky on Aug. 9, but that is their lone win in the past four games. Their most recent loss was to the Dallas Wings. As the Fever try to erase the tape of the Dallas loss with a bounce-back win, Indiana's next opponent revealed unfortunate news.
On Thursday, the Washington Mystics announced their official injury report for their matchup against the Indiana Fever.
"Status Report: August 15 vs Indiana Fever Jacy Sheldon – Right Ankle Injury – OUT Shakira Austin – Left Leg Soreness – OUT Georgia Amoore – ACL Injury – OUT."

Washington recently traded for Jacy Sheldon, sending away a promising young player, Aaliyah Edwards, in exchange for the talented guard. While Sheldon was settling into the Mystics lineup, she is out with an ankle injury. That leaves the Mystics looking for another answer in the backcourt.
This season, Sheldon has averaged 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while playing for the Washington Mystics and the Connecticut Sun. In her latest game for the Mystics, Sheldon finished with five points, one rebound and one assist.
