The 2025 Little League World Series is underway, as we're a little less than a full week into the action.
A total of 20 teams from around the world - 10 from the U.S. and 10 from abroad - make up the field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Next weekend, we'll crown a U.S. champion and an international champion, before crowning the world champion. It's the highest honor for a Little League World Series player.
Many players will go viral on social media over the course of the tournament, but this year, one notable pitcher is standing out, for his insane performance on the mound.
Lin Chin-Tse, a 12-year-old right-hander for Chinese Taipei, has gone viral on social media this year. That's because he threw back-to-back fastballs at greater than 80 MPH.
"12 year old Lin Chin-Tse casually hit 82 MPH on back-to-back pitches for Chinese Taipei in the Little League World Series," Jomboy Media shared.

At 82 MPH from a 60-foot mound, the 12-year-old pitcher is throwing the equivalent of a 107 MPH fastball.
That's right, the 12-year-old Little League World Series hitters have less time to react to the 82 MPH fastball than Major League Baseball players do to react to a pitch in the high 90 MPH or low 100 MPH.
That means it's harder to hit this 12-year-old pitcher's fastball than the following five stud MLB pitchers.
5 MLB pitchers easier to hit than the LLWS star
1. Justin Verlander
Verlander's fastest pitch in recorded history was "just" 102 MPH. He's one of the greatest MLB starting pitchers ever, but even he couldn't dial up a 107 MPH fastball.
2. Clayton Kershaw
Kershaw, arguably the best and most dominant pitcher of his generation, recorded an all-time high of 96.8 MPH. That's more than 10 MPH slower than the equivalent of the 12-year-old LLWS pitcher's fastball.
3. Max Scherzer
Scherzer, who has won three Cy Young awards, is known for his fiery presence on the mound. But even the former Washington Nationals great could only reach about 98 MPH at his best.
4. Gerrit Cole
Cole, who is currently injured for the New York Yankees, was regularly brushing with 100 MPH. But that's still 7 MPH slower than the equivalent speed of the 12-year-old Little Leaguer's top fastball.
5. Paul Skenes
Skenes throws as hard as any MLB starting pitcher in recent memory. The Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher topped out at 102 MPH, though.
***
Good luck to all the LLWS players who have to face this stud of a 12-year-old starting pitcher moving forward.
