Crystal Palace have approached Club Brugge regarding a move for Greek forward Christos Tzolis, according to reports from The Athletic.
The 23-year-old attacker only joined the Belgian side last summer from Fortuna Dusseldorf but has quickly made a strong impression.
He scored 21 goals and added 14 assists in 56 matches during his first season in Belgium.
So far this campaign, Tzolis has three goals and two assists from seven appearances. His progress saw Brugge reward him with a fresh contract, which has made them reluctant to sell.
Palace seek Eze replacement.
The Eagles are preparing for the possibility of losing Eberechi Eze, with Tottenham Hotspur pushing to sign the England international. Replacing him has become a significant priority for Oliver Glasner’s side.
Palace have looked at Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, but they are now also pushing to secure Tzolis.
The London club have already had one offer turned down by Brugge but remains determined to return with a stronger bid.
Talks have also been held with the player’s representatives as Palace attempt to tempt him to Selhurst Park before the close of the window.
Tzolis profile and style of play
Tzolis is a versatile attacker who can play in different roles across the front line. He is known for his speed, direct dribbling, and powerful finishing.
The Greek forward is comfortable using either foot and is most effective when cutting inside from wide areas to create scoring chances.
His ability to operate as a winger or a second striker gives managers tactical flexibility.
For Palace, the addition of Tzolis would not only cover the potential loss of Eze but also bring an extra goal threat to the team.
His arrival would also strengthen the squad as they prepare for European competition, with Glasner’s side set to feature in the UEFA Conference League this season.
Palace see the 23-year-old as a player with the quality and hunger to make a quick impact in the Premier League. However, convincing Brugge to part with one of their best players will require a significant offer.
