The 2025-2026 season officially kicks off tonight in Ligue 1. But for Mikayil Faye, the wait continues. The Senegalese defender for Stade Rennais will not be taking part in the Bretons' opening clash of the season against OM.
According to journalist François Rauzy of Ici Armorique, Habib Beye has decided to drop the young Senegalese talent. The former Barça defender reportedly arrived late to the team meeting this morning. His tardiness did not sit well with his coach, who apparently asked him to leave the hotel after he joined his teammates on his own later at midday.
