Caitlin Clark, still out with a groin injury, watched from the sidelines as Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever fell to Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings 81-80 on Tuesday night.

Boston finished the night with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting, five rebounds and one assist. Kelsey Mitchell had a chance to win it for Fever at the end, but missed a go-ahead shot in the final seconds.

The former South Carolina Gamecocks forward also tallied three personal fouls, and at one point, she certainly had enough of the WNBA referees' calls.

At the end of the third quarter, Dallas held a 67-55 lead on the road, even without All-Star Arike Ogunbowale. The ESPN cameras panned over to Clark, who was walking onto the court.

Eventually, Clark made her way to Boston, who was near the free throw line, having a heated conversation with the ref. Clark, attempting to play peacekeeper, grabbed Boston by the arm, hoping to separate the two.

It worked, and a Fever staff member helped Boston back to the bench, while Clark made her way there as well.

Indiana has now been without Clark for the last 11 games and 21 overall this season. Yet they are still in the middle of the playoff hunt, sitting at 18-15 following Tuesday's loss.

The Wings, on the other hand, haven't been as fortunate despite Bueckers' Rookie of the Year campaign, moving to 9-24.

Up next for the Fever, a rematch with Sonia Citron and the Washington Mystics on Friday.
