Before Taylor Swift made her debut appearance on New Heights Wednesday, Caitlin Clark wondered if YouTube would crash. That happened toward the end of the premiere, and the Indiana Fever star shouted out her fellow Swifties for “breaking the internet.”

Swift’s highly anticipated podcast debut, alongside her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, came as she announced her new album. The episode was expected to draw a big audience, and more than 1.3 million people tuned in at the time the video stream ended.

Prior to the episode, Clark asked if YouTube would be able to hold up. After it crashed, she credited the Swifties for being “so powerful we broke the internet.”

Swift had just unveiled her new album during the “New News” segment of the show. She was discussing the story behind it and how she wrote it during her Eras Tour last year when the stream stopped.

It turns out, the podcast wasn’t over. There was a “glitch,” and the New Heights social media team joked fans literally “broke the internet” – meaning Clark’s prediction came true. It’s unclear when exactly the show will post in full on YouTube with the rest of the episode, but the full podcast is available on Spotify.
