The Big 12 announced country music star Jon Pardi will perform at halftime of the conference championship game in December. The game kicks off at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, on December 6th at 12:00 p.m. ET.
“Today, the Big 12 Conference announced that award-winning country music star Jon Pardi will perform at halftime of the 2025 Big 12 Football Championship on Saturday, Dec. 6 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” the release read. “Pardi will be joined during the performance by the marching bands from both participating institutions as the Big 12 continues to blend innovation with tradition.”
Pardi also released a statement, explaining his excitement for the game. He plans to bring the house down in between halves.
“I’m so fired up to be part of the Big 12 Football Championship game this year – and to be the first country artist to do it makes it even more fun,” Pardi said. “It’s going to be a good time – we’re going to give fans an unforgettable show.”
Pardi is fresh off the release of his critically-acclaimed fifth album Honkytonk Hollywood and has racked up six No. 1 singles, including his current Top 10 lead single “Friday Night Heartbreaker.” He has become closely tied to football, from performing at the College Football Playoff to having his “Night Shift” music video debut on ESPN as a lead-in to kick-off in the past and Pardi even announced an NFL Draft pick for his beloved San Francisco 49ers.
Pardi grew up in Dixon, California, attending Dixon High School. Prior to graduating 2003, he started writing music at the age of 12 and formed a band two years later.
Following high school, he moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. To date, Pardi has five studio albums with his first, Write You a Song, releasing in 2014.
Arizona State won last year’s Big 12 Championship 45-19 over Iowa State. The Sun Devils were projected to finish last in the conference last year, but managed to win it all and make the College Football Playoff.
They are the favorite to repeat in one of the wildest conferences in America. Either way, Pardi will be there to get the fans jazzed up at halftime.
