This really stinks for the big tight end.
Texans' Brevin Jordan gets heartbreaking injury update for 2nd straight season originally appeared on The Sporting News
This was supposed to be Brevin Jordan's comeback.
Instead, the Houston Texans' tight end found himself in tears on the practice field on Monday.
And on Tuesday, the news was confirmed: Jordan will miss this season, too, according to multiple reports.
Jordan tore his ACL in Week 2 of the 2024 season and finished that game without even realizing he had sustained that injury. Diagnosed afterward, Jordan didn't play again in 2024.
And then on Monday, Jordan leaped for a pass and couldn't corral it before coming down awkwardly.

He grabbed at his lower right leg.
"He initially got up and was assisted by trainers, but he did not want to walk with them, insisting he was fine," wrote ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime. "After a few moments of not putting pressure on his leg, he eventually became emotional as the medical cart approached. Texans players and coaches huddled around Jordan as he was in tears while sitting on the cart. After Jordan was carted away, players huddled and spoke to one another in a circle before resuming practice."
Jordan was a fifth-round pick in 2021.
He has 53 catches and 532 yards in his NFL career with five touchdowns.

The athletic 6-foot-3 target was supposed to be a free agent this offseason, but the Texans signed him to a $2.1 million deal for this year despite the ACL injury.
Now, Jordan will again miss the year as he heads toward free agency.
The Texans have Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover atop their tight end depth chart, and they'll have to figure things out without Jordan once again.
