Caitlin Clark's Silence Speaks Volumes After Fever Take Down Angel Reese-Less Sky

She didn't have anything to say.

Caitlin Clark's Silence Speaks Volumes After Fever Take Down Angel Reese-Less Sky originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Caitlin Clark did not suit up for Saturday’s rivalry showdown against an Angel Reese-less Chicago Sky side. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year sat out her 10th straight game due to a lingering groin injury.

Clark supported her team from the bench as she watched the shorthanded Fever take down the Sky in a lopsided matchup, 92-70.

The players were clearly excited following their big win as they headed to the locker room shortly after the final buzzer. Clark was with her teammates as they made their way off the court, but unlike the rest of them, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year kept silent.

Clark busted out a W sign with her hands, but she did not say anything as she walked by the camera.

It is also worth noting that the former Iowa star immediately took to social media after the win. She shared the Fever’s post about the victory via her Instagram stories, but again, she opted not to include any caption.

While Clark is usually an outspoken individual, she let the win do all the talking this time around. The 23-year-old did not have to say anything as the Fever scored their fourth victory against their rivals in four games played this season.

As they always say, actions speak louder than words, and it appears that this was the case for Clark on Saturday night.

As for the Sky, this was their ninth loss in 10 games. Reese remains without a timetable for her return from a back injury, but her situation has been described as day-to-day.

The fans will need to wait a little bit longer for the next iteration of the Clark vs. Reese rivalry. These two teams face off for a final time in the regular season on September 6, but it remains to be seen if both Clark and Reese will be available to play for that one.
