Spurs are reportedly rivalling Arsenal for the signing of Eberechi Eze in the summer transfer window, despite their interest in Manchester City winger Savinho.
Multiple reports claim that Tottenham Hotspur have renewed their interest in the Crystal Palace star as they look to improve their attacking options this coming season.
The Lilywhites are considering a number of potential signings following James Maddison’s injury. The midfielder will miss most of the 2025/26 campaign after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
Spurs will have no problem meeting Eze’s personal terms and likely want to negotiate a transfer fee that is below the £60m release clause, which also includes up to £7.5million in add-ons, in his contract. He has two years left to run on his current deal and the clause has reportedly expired.
Eze has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, although the Gunners may need to sell players first before sanctioning the signing as they have spent almost £200m on new signings this summer. Leandro Trossard would be the most likely candidate in order to make space, while Reiss Nelson, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira are also up for sale.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are looking to sign Savinho from Man City in addition to Eze. City do not wish to sell the Brazilian winger, whom they value above £50m, but may do a deal if the player pushes for an exit.
Talks have taken place between the two clubs, although City “regard the matter as closed”, according to The Athletic. However, they have been linked with a move for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo, who could potentially replace Savinho at City if his compatriot joins Spurs.
