There were two outs in the top of the ninth inning between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox when rain poured on Rate Field in Chicago, resulting in a rain delay on Monday, Aug. 11.
The Tigers took a 2-1 lead over the White Sox on Spencer Torkelson's solo home run off left-handed reliever Brandon Eisert.
The rain was expected to continue for a few hours.
It's unclear if or when the opener of the three-game series between the Tigers and White Sox will resume.
