The Zane Trace girls' golf team is off to a fast start to the season. The Pioneers recently won a tournament by 26 strokes.
CHILLICOTHE ― The Zane Trace girls’ golf team is off to a great start to the season.
The Pioneers not only won the Adam Sharp Memorial Invitational, but they dominated, winning by 26 strokes. They finished with a 169-team total, with Logan Elm placing second at 195 in the 10-team event.
Jackson, Westfall, Goshen, Miami Trace, Adena, Chillicothe, Greenfield McClain, and Wilmington also competed in the event.
Rosella Lattavo led the way for the Pioneers with a 36. Anna Helber had 57, Mary Helber shot 40, while Carly Picklesimer fired a 56 and Chloe Johnson scored 63.
The Pioneers also won the Fairfield Union Lady Falcon nine-team Invitational by finishing with a 345 team total, and once again, won in dominating fashion by 44 strokes.
Rosella Lattova led Zane Trace and was the medalist with a 68. She was followed by Anna Helber (72), Mary Helber (81), and Carly Picklesimer (124).
