She's gone through a personal struggle.
Indiana Fever Player Reveals Personal News After Season-Ending Injury originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Caitlin Clark is no longer the only name on the Indiana Fever’s injury list these days. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year has been joined by two of her teammates after the unfortunate turn of events in Thursday’s humiliating 35-point blowout loss to the Phoenix Mercury.
Both Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson were forced to exit the game against the Mercury, and it was subsequently revealed that both guards were diagnosed with season-ending injuries.
McDonald, in particular, suffered a broken bone in her right foot, which will now force her to miss the remainder of the campaign. The season has ended for the 5-foot-6 guard with averages of 9.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 triples in 20 games played.
McDonald took to Instagram on Saturday ahead of the Fever’s rivalry showdown against the Chicago Sky. The 26-year-old revealed some personal news that brought some joy amid her unfortunate situation.
McDonald shared via her Instagram stories that she scored a perfect score of 200 in her culmination paper.
“You love to see it 🥹😝” she captioned her photo.
Finally some good freaking news… Aari crushed her paper.

McDonald is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She revealed during the Fever’s recent four-game road trip that she had a deadline coming up for a 12-page paper, which was a struggle for her considering her commitments to the team.
Well, McDonald proved that she is very much capable of balancing her academic pursuit with her day job as a professional basketball player, and her 100% score for her culminating paper is a testament to this fact.
