Another training camp practice in the books, and there were a few items to take note of out there…

The Indianapolis Colts practiced for a consecutive day at Grand Park this weekend and battled some high late summer heat in this one.

Here are a few of the key takeaways from Sunday’s late afternoon practice:

Some Brights Spots, But Colts QB Finalists Need More Consistency

🏈 Anthony Richardson Sr. had a really nice red-zone period to start but then was very up-and-down after that
🏈 Similarly, Daniel Jones threw a fantastic deep ball on his first attempt that Anthony Gould dropped, and then his play failed off

Last team period of the day has Daniel Jones with the starters for a true RZ session:

Started with a nice find on a crosser to Tyler Warren (RAC). Had a nice option pull on the next play, then Laiatu Latu QUICK sack on the following. TD to AD then an overthrown TD. #Colts

Anthony Richardson’s final team period (RZ) with the backups was a rocky one through the air. Found the RBs leaking twice for his lone completions, with two incompletions being a dirt ball and a 50-50 ball to Dulin.

Anthony Richardson kicked off the first team period of the day with the starters, an 11-on-11 session going the length of the field.

Underthrown bomb to Pierce completed, off-target to AP, quick crosser find to Downs (RAC), off fingers of MAC in EZ, TD to Pierce to finish.

Daniel Jones was with the #Colts starters for their next 11-on-11 session, a drive starting from their own 30.

Had a nice find to Josh Downs on an out-breaker, a quick slant to MPJ, and then an exotic pressure resulted in a would-be sack by Charvarius Ward/DeForest Buckner.

Alec Pierce Injured, Returned, & then Left

Colts Alec Pierce left practice early, went to locker room. Came back out and did sone agility work. Limped off and taken inside by cart.

Kenny Moore II Suffers Right Knee Injury

Colts CB Kenny Moore II just had an apparent issue with his right knee and seemed to be in pretty intense pain here at practice. He walked off slowly after a trainer came over, but it all looked very concerning. Monitoring.

Colts Increasingly Banged Up

Still no timeline for CB JuJu Brents (hamstring) and CB Jaylon Jones (hamstring).
