The NBA offseason has entered August and it has quieted down a ton since the end of the Summer League.
Despite this, more moves are expected to come as the start of the season in October approaches but before the beginning of the new season, eight people will have their names forever remembered as they will be enshrined into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on September 6.
Among those who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame is former New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony.
Anthony will be joined by NBA legend Dwight Howard, WNBA legends Sue Bird, Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles along with Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan, Miami Heat owner Micky Arison and NBA referee Danny Crawford.
For Anthony, it is a major accomplishment for him to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and it is also well-deserved after his incredible 19-year NBA career.
Over his 19 seasons in the NBA, the star forward averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 44.7% from the field and 35.5% from three.
He was also a 10-time All-Star, six-time All-NBA selection and was also named to the NBA’s 75th anniversary team.

Of course, Anthony and Iverson played together on the Denver Nuggets from 2006 to 2008 where they had a ton of success, though they were never able to lead Denver to a championship.
For Wade, he and Anthony both entered the NBA as part of the 2003 draft class that also included LeBron James where the Nuggets selected Anthony third overall and the Heat selected Wade fifth overall.
The two have always had a strong relationship throughout their playing careers and now both Wade and Iverson will help induct Anthony join them in the Hall of Fame during his induction ceremony.
