It has been a busy offseason for the Phoenix Suns as they have completely overhauled their roster after missing the playoffs last season.

Phoenix began the offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets and they also bought out Bradley Beal’s contract, officially ending the big three era.

Of course, the Suns elected to keep Devin Booker, who they signed to a massive two-year contract extension, as they look to rebuild their roster around him.

The Suns did have many notable additions to their roster this offseason as they acquired Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and pick they used to select Khaman Maluach in the Durant trade and they also added Mark Williams, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea.

With these moves, the Suns will enter next season with a completely different roster than the one they had last season as they try to turn things around after multiple disappointing seasons.

Phoenix may also not be done making moves this offseason as they have been linked to many other players around the NBA and they have recently been named one of the favorites to acquire Trae Young from the Atlanta Hawks as Atlanta has yet to offer him a contract extension.

According to Bovada, the Suns have the fourth-best odds (+450) to acquire Young from the Hawks this summer in a blockbuster trade.

The Orlando Magic are the favorite (+250) to land him and they are followed by the Brooklyn Nets (+290) and Sacramento Kings (+375).

For the Suns, acquiring Young to pair alongside Booker in the backcourt would give them one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA.

Despite this, it would likely take the Suns giving up Green in a trade package for Young, though Young’s fit next to Booker would be a much better one that Green’s.

While that may be the case, the Suns may not want to move on from some of their young talent and draft capital to land Young, especially since they are expected to not be a contender next season, though adding the Hawks’ star guard could change that.

Either way, if Young does become available on the trade market, expect the Suns to show some interest in him as they try to turn their franchise around following the failure during their big three era.
