Sports influencer Katie Feeney has made her first public post since joining ESPN, giving fans a glimpse of her new chapter at one of the biggest names in sports media.

The 22-year-old content creator, who has built a massive online following of more than 14 million across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat, officially joined ESPN this week in a role that blends digital storytelling with on-air appearances.

Feeney marked the occasion by sharing several photos from inside ESPN’s offices.

"What once felt like a dream is now my reality,” she wrote in her Instagram post. “Thank you to everyone who believed in me and supported me along the way. Excited to take you all along this next chapter ❤️❤️ ESPN."

Who is ESPN’s Katie Feeney

Feeney graduated from Pennsylvania State University in June 2025 with a degree in digital journalism and media. While at Penn State, she gained recognition for her creative coverage of college football games and campus life, even forming an official partnership with the Nittany Lions football team.

Her new position at ESPN will see her contribute daily to the network’s social and digital content. She will lead a refreshed approach to SportsCenter on Snapchat, a platform that reaches more than nine million subscribers.

In addition, she will create short-form video content for the new, enhanced ESPN App experience launching in early fall.

Feeney will also appear on major ESPN programs, including Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown and College GameDay. For the football pregame show, she is expected to bring her signature fan-focused, behind-the-scenes coverage that first made her a household name among younger sports fans.

“From capturing Penn State games on the sidelines to now joining the biggest platform in sports, this journey has been incredible,” Feeney said in a statement. “I grew up watching SportsCenter with my family, and I’m proud to now be part of the storytelling that brings ESPN to millions of fans around the world.”

ESPN Looks to Connect With Younger Fans

ESPN executives see Feeney as part of a strategy to engage a younger, digitally savvy audience. Kaitee Daley, ESPN’s Senior Vice President of Digital, Social and Streaming Content, praised Feeney’s unique connection with fans.

“Katie has built an impressive and authentic connection with sports fans by blending access, personality, and Gen Z culture in a way that feels fresh and engaging,” Daley said. “Her perspective and creativity are a perfect match for how we’re reimagining coverage to meet fans where they are.”

Katie Feeney’s Career

Feeney’s rise has been rapid. She first gained attention in high school when she found success on Snapchat’s Spotlight program, becoming one of the platform’s early breakout stars.

She later served as a social media correspondent for the Washington Commanders, gaining experience with professional sports coverage before graduating and moving into national media.

As the NFL season approaches and college football kicks off, Feeney is set to become a familiar face for ESPN viewers. With her first post already sparking excitement, her next chapter is officially underway.
