On Wednesday, Tyreek Hill‘s 8-month-old daughter was rushed to the emergency room, per TMZ Sports. Thankfully, Hill’s daughter is reportedly doing better now. Hill’s estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, revealed the details of the ER visit in a post on her Instagram.
“Last night was scary, Capri started feeling warm, super sleepy, and just not herself. I called [Dr. Jared Friedman], and within minutes, he had us straight into the ER with an incredible team waiting for us,” Vacarro wrote. “Blood work, viral panels, cultures, done swiftly and gently.
“So grateful for the kind of care that shows up at late night and gets things handled. She’s doing much better today.”
Hill married Vacarro in November 2023 and the pair’s daughter was born this past November. In April, police were called to Hill’s home by Vacarro’s mother after the pair allegedly had a domestic dispute.
“According to a Sunny Isles Beach Police Department report, officers responded to a call from Hill’s mother-in-law, who told them Hill was ‘very aggressive and impulsive’ and that she was ‘afraid for her daughter,'” ESPN reported. “According to Hill’s mother-in-law, Hill and his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, got into an argument and he threw her laptop to the floor before grabbing their 4-month-old daughter and heading to the balcony of their 35th-floor apartment.
“Vaccaro told responding officers that she and Hill had been attending couple’s therapy due to their frequent arguments but that it hadn’t worked, adding that she was in the process of filing for divorce. She said Monday’s argument began when she told Hill he was not involved enough in their daughter’s life.”
Vacarro officially filed for divorce the next day. Tyreek Hill is entering his third season with the Miami Dolphins.
With Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa out most of the years due to concussion issues, Hill had a down year, only recording 81 catches for 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns. For reference, Hill tallied 119 catches, 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in the 2023 season.
At the end of last season, Hill said he was “out” and seemed to want a fresh start elsewhere. However, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said Hill never officially requested a trade. Now, Hill is working to regain his teammates’ confidence.
“It’s not just with me, it’s with a lot of the guys. I’m not the only one that heard that. You guys aren’t the only people that heard that,” Tua Tagovailoa said about Hill’s comments at the end of last season. “A lot of people that follow football, that follow the Miami Dolphins, that follow Tyreek that are fans of his — everyone has seen that.
“So, when you say something like that, you don’t just come back from that with, ‘Hey, my bad.’ You got to work that relationship up; you’ve got to build everything back up again.”
