WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We of course have our continuing coverage of fall practice with plenty of team feedback for you to check out this morning. And the team’s returning to Greentree this morning so stay tuned for all of that coverage. There will be practice field videos, team interviews and more.
In recruiting Douglasville (Ga.) Douglass County three-star Indiana safety commit Jamar Owens is showing interest in Miami after communication picked up between him and the Hurricanes over the past several weeks. We catch up with him.
Plus get the latest with Cottondale (Fla.) four-star 2027 ATH Tramond Collins. He committed to Florida in late June, but the No. 106 overall prospect and No. 4 ATH in the Rivals300’s recruitment is far from shut down and Miami’s pushing.
We also update where things stand after Miami offered an FAU commit out of St. John Neumann (Fla.), defensive lineman Frederic Sainteus.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any other news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Love What Mirabal Said … Posted by 77cane
Rather than blaming the Defense for last year’s 3 losses, he says the Offense didn’t score enough points. Not only is he correct – the country’s number 1 offense should score at will against anyone – it’s a great motivation strategy. There’s a popular axiom in business – people spend way too much time trying to improve their weaknesses and not nearly enough time figuring out how to improve the things they’re really good at. In the end there’s only so much you can do improve your weaknesses – the upside is limited. But if you focus on your strengths – figuring out what you do well and do those things even better – sky’s the limit.
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
“(Last year) I learned patience, that you can only control what you can. You can’t be mad at not playing when you aren’t the best. You have to get to the level where you would be the best. It was motivation, humbles you, shows you to appreciate football more. I know anytime I get a chance to play I’m going to give it my all.”
