As Texas gets rolling in preseason camp, they were doing so without two big offensive stars. Starting right guard DJ Campbell and wide receiver Ryan Wingo were away from the team for undisclosed reasons. Both projected to be major contributors, their status raised a few eyebrows in Dallas.
However, head coach Steve Sarkisian put any concerns to ease on Tuesday. Sarkisian confirmed Campbell was back in practice, while one more off day is on the way for Wingo. The goal for him is to get back out there on Thursday.
“Sark says DJ Campbell was back at practice,” On3’s Inside Texas said via X. “Ryan Wingo will have one more day off tomorrow and then the plan is to have him going on Thursday.”
