Three Licking County football teams will be in new OHSAA divisions in 2026.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its football divisions and regions for the 2026 season on April 23, and a trio of Licking County teams are on the move.
Licking Heights is moving up to Division I, Region 3 from Division II, Region 7. Newark Catholic is moving up to Division VI, Region 23 from Division VII, Region 27, and Northridge will join NC in Division VI, Region 23 after moving down from Division V, Region 18.
Utica remains in Division V but is moving back to Region 19 after spending two seasons in Region 18. Of note, Bishop Watterson is moving up to Division II, Region 7 after winning back-to-back Division III state championships.
