The annual Personnel & Recruiting Symposium in Nashville has become the premier event for staffers in that field, and a Gamecock is bringing home some hardware this year.
South Carolina Director of On-Campus Recruiting Jessica Jackson was presented with the Impact Award at this year’s three-day conference.
Jackson has been in her current role with the Gamecocks since January 2016, when she was hired by Will Muschamp before remaining on Shane Beamer’s staff.
Her responsibilities include coordination of official and unofficial visits, managing compliance records, gameday operations and a database of over 12,000 recruits, according to her official South Carolina bio. She is the eligibility center liaison and ensures smooth transitions for players. She has helped recruit over 30 active NFL athletes.
Jackson attended the University of Alabama, where she served as a football recruiting and operations assistant.
Jackson earned her MBA from LSU in 2021 and her MEd from South Carolina in 2025.
The Personnel and Recruiting Symposium is an annual professional development event dedicated to college football recruiting and personnel departments, according to its website.
The three-day event is designed to educate, connect, and empower the industry’s top professionals and rising talent, while bringing together personnel and recruiting staffs from across the country in Nashville each year.
Through expert-led panels, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities, the event provides cutting-edge insights, best practices, and forward-thinking strategies that continue to shape the future of college football.
