Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker and multiple-time Defensive Player of the Year candidate Micah Parsons shocked the football world on Friday as he revealed his feelings on the Cowboys organization, saying he "no longer wants to be here" in a wide-ranging post on X.

"I no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured while laying it all on the line for the organization and our fans and teammates," Parsons added.

The news brought with it a clear four-word take from former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III, who made his feelings clear on the drama in Dallas and Parsons' message.

"Micah Parsons requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys and I don't blame him," Griffin III said on X.

Fans lined up to share their thoughts on Griffin III's take.

"Yeah Jerry doesn't deserve that level of talent on his team," one person said under Griffin III's post.

"He will be a Chicago Bear," another added.

"Jerry Jones and (co-owner) Stephen (Jones) are the legit definition of DUMB," another person added.

"I doubt he leaves," another said. "Jones about to pay him."

Others made light of the situation as best they could with Parsons' 2025-26 season now up in the air.

"He's under contract this year. He can be tagged next year. Who cares what he wants?" another fan said, appearing to take the Jones' and the Cowboys' side.

Other fans hypothesized a potential trade involving another disgruntled player, division rival Terry McLaurin of the Washington Commanders, that would hypothetically involve Parsons and the Cowboys.

Last season, Parsons had 30 solo tackles and 12 sacks along with two forced fumbles, once again putting the NFL on notice as one of its most talented and disruptive defensive players.

Parsons and the Cowboys are set to open the preseason on Saturday, August 9 against the Los Angeles Rams on the road, a game that wasn't likely to include Parsons logging any playing time but almost certainly won't now that he has revealed his intentions for the future that appeared to close the door on a return to the football field in Big D.
