Well, later on Friday, the trade request officially came through from Parsons as the superstar posted a long message on X.
“Unfortunately, I no longer want to be here," Parsons wrote in a series of long messages.
As expected, the reactions have come pouring in, including from Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

After Parsons' post on X, it didn't take long for Lamb to react.
The Cowboys' star WR posted on Instagram with three letters: "SMH."
Lamb also took to X to share his thoughts:
"Never fails dawg," Lamb wrote. "Just pay the man, what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular."

On Thursday night, fellow LB Juanyeh Thomas also made his profile picture one of Parsons.
So, it has been quite a strong stance from other Cowboys players, and it's no surprise given how valuable Parsons has been to the franchise.
Potential Micah Parsons Trade Destinations
As of now, it remains to be seen which teams are interested in acquiring Parsons. Or, which teams have the assets and money to land him and sign him to a new deal?
For one of the game's premier pass rushers, just about every team should at least consider it, although not every team can afford to sign him to a new contract.
Buffalo Bills fans pounded the table to make a run at Parsons, and other teams such as the Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Commanders, who have Parsons' former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, could also be in the running.
Nonetheless, the drama continues in Dallas.
